Structural Framing Systems

Structural Framing Systems

Structural Framing System InstallationStructural framing systems (SFS) are a relative newcomer to the GWN arsenal of solutions. Structural framing systems and external walling provides lateral support to most cladding materials including masonry, profiled metal sheets, proprietary panels and insulated render systems.

Unlike timber, the galvanised steel used in structural framing systems is inherently resistant to water and moisture. It can stand the test of time and will not rot or loose shape. The lightweight steel SFS sections are easy to handle

Structural framing systems are becoming the preferred method of new build in many commercial projects. GWN have amassed a wealth of knowledge in a short period of time and we have delivered a number of prestigious projects. Click here to see the photo gallery of the Chips project in Manchester. Or see our 3D project brochure brochure for St Helens College here.

Structural framing systems are a dry build method which speeds construction. By fixing a moisture resistant sheathing externally to the framework, a watertight building is created at the early stages of the construction process.

Insulation may be included within the wall cavity to enhance thermal performance. Structural framing systems are suitable for low and high rise projects. GWN can offer designers a cost effective, fast and eco-freindly alternative to traditional construction methods.
