Why GWN?

Awards

GWN grew from a family business which began in the 1940's when lath and plaster was all the rage. GWN's current managing director, Gary Walsh has achieved numerous awards for plastering including the CITB plasterer of the year whilst attending Bolton College. Gary's brother, Lee Walsh, also achieved the prestigious 'British Gypsum plasterer of the year" whilst attending technical college in Lancashire.

 

We have worked on numerous prestigious and award winning projects. Our dedication to detail tied together with technical expertise means that we are the contractor of choice.

 

Gary Walsh heads GWN; the fact that the man at the top knows the industry so well and can still plaster a wall to perfection sets the bar very high! This expertise cascades down the organisation, all the way to our new apprentices who are just starting out as career tradesman.

 

All this success does not come about by chance. Projects are fairly priced and are completed with total professionalism, all within a timescale that suits the customer. We train all our tradesmen to be the best in their fields. Just like a farmer, we are out standing in our field.

 

Repeat business

We value repeat business. GWN are known throughout the industry as a contractor who can be trusted to come up with the goods time and time again. In fact, our levels of repeat business are unheard of within the industry. As an example, GWN has completed 80 projects for just one client! Repeat business only happens when existing clients are totally satisfied with our performance.

 

Financial stability

We have an excellent reputation within the industry for paying the bills on time. This is the reason why our supply chain is so strong. The fact that GWN have been evolving over 60 years through good time and bad is testament to our financial stability. As the saying goes, we are only as good as our last project. We can safely say that as our last project is always good!

 

How can we save you money? Our purchasing power and vast technical experience often results in cost savings to projects. To use yet another idiom, 'there is more than one way to skin a cat' and this is so true of construction projects were, for instance, a wall design could be altered to achieve a better price whilst maintaining specification. When GWN are involved from the start of a project through to completion, you can be rest assured that the best price is to be achieved.
